Woo boy it's been a while since I've written anything; and seeing as it's been 14 days since 2015 started, I figured it was better to write up now rather than never.
I have finally started university, if you haven't been reading my ever-so-sarcastic memos on all of my art. This has taken up a wee bit of my time (although not nearly as bad as academy which consumes your soul and gives you three hours worth of homework for each class). For those that art curious I'm studying all of the following: The Cinematic Experience, Arabic, Anthropology, and Archaeology. It's incredibly fun, and since the exams themselves are over, I just have to wait patiently for the results before jumping into the next section (and I'm finding out tomorrow, huzzah!).
This section might take a little longer to write about, mainly because it focuses specifically on my struggle to come up with a style and colouring pattern that I enjoy for both Future Talk and Little Star: to me it just doesn't seem suitable as of so far, like it's trying to appear realistic and suave, but it just isn't reaching the mark. I'm messing around with a different technique that I use for some of my doodles and see if that looks better. Beyond that, I think I'm doing relatively well.
On an even further note, I'm starting to consider re-drawing some of the earlier pages of Future Talk and Little Star; you know, catching up with the current style. I'd personally like to see how much I've improved since my earlier drawing techniques (before I even had a tablet) so I'm starting to work backwards. I'm going to mess around with my new styles first; need to keep it consistent, which is something I am sorely lacking, it seems.
Until then, I hope you enjoy seeing what I have to show.
